How do Bytom solve a problem like Świerczok?


Times are difficult at Polonia Bytom. It has been well-documented in the past that the side from the Upper-Silesian municipality has struggled financially; and their relegation from the Ekstraklasa last summer has only added to the problems of the Niebiesko-Czerwone. Numerous players left the Edward Szymkowiak Stadium in the summer, as the budget was slashed to try to make ends meet. Goodbye 2011, Welcome 2012.

So we’ve finally arrived at the end of 2011; and an interesting year it has been in Polish football. With the European Championships now just around the bend, people have begun to take notice of both the national team and the Ekstraklasa; and as those who follow will know, it’s certainly been an enthralling 12 months.
